Information om migrering av servrar

Som vi tidigare kommunicerat, kommer UC AB att flytta sina IT-infrastrukturstjänster och servrar till vår samarbetspartners datacenter i Sverige.  

Vi meddelade under våren att överföringen tidigast skulle ske i slutet av oktober 2024. Detta datum har nu senarelagts, och vi kan bekräfta att överföringen inte kommer att ske under 2024. När vi har mer information kring exakt datum kommunicerar vi detta i god tid. Under tiden ber vi dig att läsa igenom nedan information om hur ni bör förbereda er inför övergången. 

Effekterna av överföringen och förberedelser

Den största synliga förändringen för dig som kund som använder IP-filtrering för att komma åt UCs tjänster, är att UCs publika IP-adresser kommer att ändras. Om ditt företag har hänvisat till UCs nuvarande IP-adresser (157.180.240.0/24 - 185.53.164.0/24) i sina tjänster eller om ditt företags utgående nätverkstrafik är begränsad till vissa IP-adresser, behöver ni ta hänsyn till den kommande ändringen på er IT-avdelning.

UCs IP-adresser efter förändringen

De IP-adresser UC kommer att använda i framtiden har nu fastställts. UCs produktion- och demotjänster kommer i fortsättningen att hittas på IP-nätverk (194.164.14.0/24).

Ert företag kan förbereda sig för förändringen genom att lägga till nätverket (194.164.14.0/24) i era nuvarande nätverks-/brandväggskonfigurationer. Vi rekommenderar för kontinuitetens skull att ni lägger till dessa ändringar redan nu och att ni inte tar bort den gamla nätverksadressen - förrän vi har uppdaterat er om att vi har slutfört våra migreringsaktiviteter och övergått till de nya IP-adresserna.

Ni kommer även i fortsättningen att kunna logga in till våra tjänster från samma webbadress: www.uc.se. Om ni har hänvisat till denna webbadress i era tjänster eller loggar in till våra tjänster via www.uc.se kommer ändringen inte att påverka användningen av våra tjänster.

Nedan följer några exempel på möjliga konsekvenser:

• Domänhänvisningar: Om ni bara använder hänvisningar till domännamn, såsom www.uc.se, utan att begränsa internettrafiken som går ut från era miljöer, behöver det inte nödvändigtvis göras några ändringar.
• Begränsningar av nätverkstrafiken: Om ditt företag begränsar nätverkstrafiken och UCs nuvarande IP-adresser uttryckligen tillåts, måste ni säkerställa att nödvändiga ändringar görs till exempel i företagets brandväggssystem.
• Direkta hänvisningar till IP-adresser: Om ni använder UCs tjänster med direkt IP-adresshänvisning, ber vi er övergå till domännamnshänvisningar.
• Gränssnitt: Ändringen av IP-adressen påverkar bland annat UCs integrationsgränssnitt och filöverföringar (sftp) på ovan nämnda sätt.
  Andra eventuella ändringar som behövs: Beroende på vilka anslutnings- och säkerhetslösningar ni använder. UC kommer att kontakta dig som har Site to Site VPN-anslutning.

As previously announced, UC AB will move its IT infrastructure services and servers to our partner's data centre in Sweden. 
  
Earlier, we communicated that the transfer would take place at the earliest by the end of October 2024. This date has been postponed, and we can now confirm that the transfer will not be carried out during 2024. We will notify you at least one month in advance when we have more information about the exact timing of the transfer. In the meantime, we kindly ask you to review the information below on how to prepare for the transfer.

Transfer effects and preparation 

The biggest visible change for you as a customer using IP filtering to access UC's services is that UC's public IP addresses will change. If your company has been referring to UC's current IP addresses (157.180.240.0/24 - 185.53.164.0/24) in its services or if your company's outbound network traffic is restricted to certain IP addresses, your IT department will need to take the upcoming change into account.

UC's IP addresses after the change

The IP addresses to be used by UC in the future have now been defined. The production and demo services of UC will in the future all be found on IP network (194.164.14.0/24). 
  
Your company can prepare for the change by adding the network (194.164.14.0/24) to your current network/firewall configuration. We recommend for the sake of business continuity that you add these changes now and not to remove the old network address (until we have updated you that we have completed our migration tasks over to the new IP addresses).   
  
You will continue to be able to log in to our services from the same web address; www.uc.se. If you have referred to this URL in your services or log in to our services via www.uc.se, the change will not affect the use of our services.

Below are some examples of possible effects:

• Domain references: If you use only domain name references such as www.uc.se, without restricting outgoing internet traffic from your environment, changes may not be necessary.
• Traffic restrictions: If your company restricts network traffic and UC's current IP addresses are separately allowed, the necessary changes to, for example, the company's firewall systems must be ensured.
• Direct IP address references: If you use UC's services with a direct IP address reference, we ask you to switch to domain name references.
• Interfaces: The IP address change affects in the above mentioned ways, for example UC’s integration interfaces and data transfers (sftp).
• Other possible change needs: Depending on the connection and security solutions you use.
